My trip to California!

Every year my girl friends and I get together for a weekend for some rest, relaxation and girlie time.  This year's destination was San Diego, California.  One of my favorite places to visit is California.  Coming from the hot Texas summers, California's cool breezes are SO delightful.  This was my first trip to San Diego and I look forward to sharing with you places that we visited along with pictures from the trip.  We enjoyed every minute!  I only wish that the weekend had lasted longer.

We left Friday morning and arrived in San Diego at 11 am.  It was only a short ride to our hotel in Coronado where we would stay at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort.

When we arrived at the hotel, we enjoyed a lovely lunch and then it was off to the spa for a massage.  After the massage, we were treated to the most delicious Macarons from Opera Patisserie.  They were so delicious!

That evening we went into the quaint town of Coronado.  So many great restaurants and cute shops lined the streets.  We had a wonderful dinner at Primavera Ristorante.

The next morning after a quick breakfast at the hotel, we drove into La Jolla.

  What a lovely little town.  We literally walked the entire town of La Jolla stopping at all of the amazing shops.  We had a fabulous lunch at Aquamoree' and dined on delicious tapas and refreshing drinks.  Then, it was off to walk along the coast.

 We saw seals and were able to see them quite close. 

 And it felt so great to feel the warm sand under our toes.

 We visited the Museum of Contemporary Art.  How amazing is this boat display on the building?

 These beautiful blooms were everywhere and the most eye catching flowers I have ever seen.  Would love to know the name of them.

We had an amazing time and I am already looking forward to our next trip!
