"The World is Your Market" Graduation Party

Today I am sharing a beautiful farmer's market themed graduation party styled by Evite that celebrates the graduate and will send them off with a fresh start.  You too can put together this stunning hassle-free event catered by your local Panera Bread which includes a delicious menu that compliments the fresh decor. Take a look at all the inspiration below.  You too can put together your own class-act graduation party!

Create a quick and easy DIY menu board using an inexpensive picture frame and chalkboard spray paint.

Use chalkboards to create decorative signs with fun wording for the graduation such as this "you're one smart cookie" sign displayed next to an assortment of fresh baked cookies.

Create a personalized touch by adding DIY place card holders with the names of your guests using Panera Bread's French Baguettes.

An easy way to display menu items such as chips, baguettes and fruit is by using inexpensive wooden crates. The crates can also be used to place any pieces of your party's decor such as flowers, candy and party favors.

I love this idea of creating a table to honor your Graduate with "Guest Notes" where family and friends can write words of wisdom that will become great mementos for a lifetime.

Visit your local grocery store or flower market as a creative way to add pops of color to your decor.  The flowers can also make for a great party favor for your guests.

Visit Evite Gatherings to view more pictures and find lots of graduation ideas.  Make your next event stress-free with Panera Catering!

As always, we would love to hear your comments.

{Tutorial} Graduation Cupcakes

My soon to be 5 year old had Senior Day in her Pre-K class yesterday.  Her teacher closed school at noon and took her four students graduating her school for a special field trip. They went on a tour of the elementary school followed by lunch at Chuck E Cheese and dessert at the ice cream shop.  Needless to say, they had an absolute blast!  My earlier post this week on party ideas for Graduation got me inspired to send over a little something sweet for their special day.

Cupcakes with Graduation Caps and Diplomas!

You can make these cupcakes too with this tutorial I have put together for you.

What You'll Need:

Cupcakes with icing
Red hots or m&ms
Square chocolate cookies
Fruit rollop or similar gummy strips cut into thin strips and 1 1/2 inches long
Waffle cookies or Oreo Funstix cut into 1 1/2-2  inch pieces
Reese's Mini Peanut Butter Cups
Decorating Gel or similar

Step 1:

Add your Reese's Mini Peanut Butter Cup with the large side onto the icing.

Step 2:

Turn your cookie upside down, and add a touch of your icing gel to the middle of the cookie.

Step 3:

Place cookie on top of the peanut butter cup so that the gel is aligned with the candy.
Refridgerate for a few minutes to let it set.

Step 4:

Add a touch of icing gel to two gummy strips and place in the middle of your cookie.

Step 5:

Add a touch of icing to the top of the gummy strips and add a Red Hot or m&m.

Your cupcake should look something like this.
Place in the refrigerator for a few minutes to let the gel set.

Step 6:

Add a gummy strip and wrap it around the waffle cookie and press into place.

Step 7:

Place waffle cookie on your cupcake and add a fun cupcake liner if you like.

Voila!
