I am so excited to share this week's giveaway with you.  I am always looking for pretty inspiration when it comes time to party planning, baking and putting together goodies for gifts.   Since starting my blog, I have come to fall in love with so many sweets.  I am blown away by the creations I see every day and some of my favorites are cupcakes, macarons, whoopie pies, pastries and of course cake pops.  Another great source of inspiration comes from some of my favorite books which are published by Chronicle Books.
Chronicle Books is a publisher of unique books and gifts for all occasions.  Based in one of my favorite cities, San Francisco, they publish award winning books, books for children, cookbooks and design books to name just a few. All of their books are easily recognizable for their creativity, spirit and beauty.

Chronicle Books is giving one lucky reader 5 of my favorite books!

What's cuter than a cupcake? All dessert lovers and party planners know that the latest dessert craze are CAKE POPS!   Cute little cakes on sticks, decorated into various shapes or characters like pumpkins, ghosts, turkeys, hello kitty and SO many more.  CAKE POPS by Bakerella (AKA) Angie Dudley is filled with easy step-by-step instructions on how to make 40 delightful mini treats.  It is truly the ultimate guide to creating the most adorable desserts for all your parties, and of course, the upcoming holidays!

I have a new found love and that is a delicate and delectable treat called a macaron.   I Love Macarons by Hisako Ogita is a step-by-step guide to making macarons with stunning photographs that accompany each step.  This charmingly designed guide is sure to have pastry lovers everywhere whipping up these colorful confections at home, using ordinary baking equipment and simple ingredients to create myriad flavors of perfection.

One of my favorite cities is San Francisco.  There you will find a charming bakery called Miette known for their beautiful cakes. The Miette cookbook by By Meg Ray,with Leslie Jonath, brings the enchantment home, sharing 100 secret formulas for favorite Miette treats from chef and owner Meg Ray. More than 75 gorgeous color photos capture the unique beauty of Miette desserts and shops. Scalloped edges on the book block enhance the preciousness of this fetching package. Just like the adorable cakes, cookies, clairs and tarts for sale in Miette's case, this book is irresistible!

Who doesn't love cupcakes?  They are a trusted favorite at any event.  Cupcakes! by Elinor Klivans includes 50 delicious recipes that are sure to please.  With tips and techniques for perfect cupcake-making, basic "head-start" recipes, and gorgeous photographs, it's time to get out the baking pans and join the cupcake craze. These diminutive cakes may be small but they stand tall in the world of sweets.

Whoopie pies are the new cupcake! Whoopie pies are a cross between a cake and a cookie so they’re sure to hit a sweet spot. The cookbook Whoopie Pies : Dozens of Mix ‘em, Match ‘em, Eat ‘em Up Recipes by Sarah Billingsley and Amy Treadwell shows over 40 ways to make this treat including the traditional marshmallow recipe and more exotic pies like green tea and red velvet. The cookbook also has instructions on how to decorate the pies with beautiful illustrations that will make you wish it was okay to eat a whoopie pie for dinner. There are lots of yummy whoopie pies to choose from and you can whip up a batch of pumpkin with cream cheese filling, just in time Fall.
