For our most recent photo session with our family photographer, I wanted our girls Annabelle and Madeleine to wear cute accessories to wear for the shoot. One of the first places I look for fabulous finds is of course is Etsy. I came across an Etsy store with the most amazing beanie hats. I thought I was looking at accessories straight from the most trendy children's catalog. The adorable creations are crafted by Lisa for her Etsy store called Castlegate. I wanted to do a color scheme of pink and brown and Lisa created custom beanies for my little ones. Lisa was an absolute pleasure to work with!

Lisa is a SAHM that creates unique custom crochet items for the whole family including hats, scarfs, owls, hair accessories and so much more!
Lisa's grandmother taught her how to crochet when she was only 5 years old. She used to make her own Barbie clothes! A friend suggested that she open an Etsy shop. "A Huge THANK YOU to all of my customers for making my shop what it is today!"
What inspires you when creating your pieces?
"I may see a little girl in a colorful dress and love the color combination. I will then go home and snip pieces of yarn with all of the colors I remembered from her dress and create something. I may just sit and play with all of my yarn cones sitting on the floor putting different colors together and then when I find the ‘right’ combo I then think what it would look good on."
