Happy Wednesday!

I am so excited to tell you about anna and blue paperie's first giveaway! I have been a long time fan of the products at Cherry Hill Designs. Their vinyl labels can be found on all of the sippy cups, snack cups and more in our house. No more ugly tape to display your child's name on items. Now, you too can have the cutest labels for your sweet kiddo! I all of their adorable products!

Cherry Hill Designs is a shop that Angie started back in 2005, where she originally was making stationery and holiday photo cards with waterproof kids labels on the side. By 2008, right after her daughter was born, she quit her day job to focus on growing the designer label brand because she saw a huge lack of cuteness in the kids' labeling market. Now, Cherry Hill Designs specializes in making designer waterproof kids labels for daycare and preschool, clothing labels, address labels, gift tags, holiday tags, stationery, etc.

What inspires Angie?

"Lately, I'm inspired by colors and patterns I see mostly in fabric and home design trends. Then I try to translate those colors and trends to labels. Lots of designs don't make the cut. I don't sell any design that I would not buy myself. New product ideas usually come from customers who have a need for something and make an inquiry about it. In fact, we received requests for clothing labels for years before I was able to fully develop our clothing label lines. We just rolled out some fun, chalkboard labels based on customer requests for waterproof labels that me be reused. For instance, on cups/drinks at parties or for labeling storage bins. I now have them on everything I own!"

Some very exciting news in regards to new and upcoming products is that they are about to launch a brand new line of modern houseware accessories called " r o u g e & co." with more adult-friendly designs of personalized melamine plates & platters, luggage tags, key chains, coaster, cutting boards, water bottles, koozies, and laptop labels. It will be a separate site that will feature design-your-own products to match either your home decor or the current season. Angie hopes to launch the rouge product line by Halloween--just in time for holiday shopping! The rouge Etsy shop is up. Take a peek HERE!

{Real Party} Adorable Bees, Beetles and Bugs Themed Birthday Party

Magda had contacted me after I posted pictures of Annabelle and Madeleine's Hello Kitty Party. She wanted to know how I had made the popcorn cones. I sent her instructions and she recently sent me pictures from the adorable party she styled for her daughter Skye's birthday. The birthday girl really likes bugs, all sorts really, but bees and beetles the best. Magda wanted to go with that theme, but not have it be in the standard yellow/black and red/black colors.

Magda found polka dotted paper in light blue and chocolate brown which she used for the invitations and the popcorn cones. She found all the bits and pieces, like pots and buckets at various $2 shops.

Magda designed the adorable cake herself. She made the fondant lady beetles, bees and flowers a week or so in advance so they would set. She bought the edible paper for the cake from Cakes Around Town.

Magda found a chocolate mold to make the lady beetles from Inspired by Chocolate. The cupcake bouquet was made by adding a few left over fondant bugs. What a cute idea!

Such a lovely party!

{Real Party} Hello Kitty Themed Birthday Party

We decided to have a joint birthday party for Annabelle and Madeleine this year since their birthdays are three weeks apart. When I asked Annabelle what kind of party she wanted, she quickly replied that she would like a Hello Kitty party. When I started looking for ideas, I instantly fell in love with these Hello Kitty shirts from Modern Frills. They became the inspiration for designing the party decor.

I made the invitation using a digital file that Audree from DecorArtist created by making a similar pattern from Heather Bailey's Pop Garden Tiled Primrose fabric which was used in the shirts. I tried to incorporate the design throughout the decor pulling the orange, yellow, green and pink as the colors for the party.

Hello Kitty crayons I made from broken crayons.
